| GIANT-KILLING Definition: (journalism) (mainly British) In sport, where a weaker team or competitor beats a much stronger, well-known team or competitor, their success is sometimes called a giant-killing. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements would be in. 1. Defeated 'Goliath' prepared appropriately, even if not adequately. 2. Victorious 'Lilliputian' prepared maximally for the contest. 3. 'Killer' had nothing to lose and so gives his/her/its all. 4.
