Definition: (British English, informal) A way of avoiding something, especially a responsibility or duty.

1. Purposeful and necessary to adopt method.

2. There is the wherewithal, an ability, a capability, etc. to do thing. That is, no real inability exists to prevent particular thing being done.

3. No real suspicion or expectation that particular person will try to avoid thing. Therefore a measure that may prevent avoidance cannot be put in place in the situation.

4. No punishment or sanction will be suffered from act.

5. The responsibility or duty will get done by somebody else - deputy, extra, stand-in, etc. That is, no loss is suffered by organization or party as a direct result of evasive act.

6. Method adopted is not understood by others as a deliberate tactic to avoid responsibility or duty. (Connect to #4.)

7. Way (= avoidance) achieves objective(s).
