| GESTICULATION Definition: The act of moving your hands and arms about in order to attract attention or make somebody understand what you are saying. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Purposeful (to emphasize, see definition). 2. Considered a necessity as other methods have not been able to achieve or will not achieve the desired objective(s). 3. Movement is unaccompanied. That is, no signs, comments, definitive gestures, etc. are made at the same time as movement(s). 4. Extent is appropriate. That is, no body part or nearby object is injured, dislocated or damaged as a direct fallout of movement(s). 5. Movement does not lead to an exhaustion or extreme tiredness, such that other important activities are not able to be performed after. 6. Duration lasts for considerable period.
