| FUND-RAISING Definition: The activity of raising money for a particular purpose, usually organized by a charity or an organization. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary, in the estimation of fund-raiser(s). 2. Activity is legal or approved/authorized, as applicable. 3. A funds target is set and made known to all concerned. 4. Conduct of persons involved are within acceptable limits. 5. Donations that will be received will be substantial, even if not adequate. That is, costs of organizing activity: expenditure (= hire, posters, announcement, etc.) will be recovered from the 'income'. 6. All legal obligations, if any, will be met by fund-raiser(s). 7.
