| FRIENDSHIP (1) Definition: [ ~ (with somebody)/ ~ (between A and B) ] A relationship between friends. ______________________________________________________________________ * All twelve elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and considered necessary by the persons involved - togetherness and/or companionship. 2. Failings and shortcomings of the persons in relationship are acknowledged and accepted by all involved. 3. Sacrifices are made for the other(s), and 'prices' paid, whenever considered as absolutely necessary. 4. Trust, support and belief are present - very alive and well - in the union - with the benefit of doubt given, where necessary. 5. The state of being 'there', by the other party in relationship, is a given - anytime or every time, anywhere and/or anyway! 6. Persons involved are sharing all - joys and pains, triumphs and defeats, tears and laughter, etc. 7. Person(s) resists all temptations and withstands all pressures to betray or back-stab the other(s) - however pained or offended. 8. Pure. True. Real. That is, no pretense in the union and no taking advantage of the other or others, especially if 'the down and out' is very vulnerable. 9. Relationship is timeless: all-season. That is, deep and enduring - not 'toxic' or demeaning. 10. No one in the group demands a gratification or expects a payment or a material gain from relationship. 11. Choice of friend(s) need not be defended, when asked by an outsider or some third party. 12. Some benefit accrues from knowing and associating with each other, to all persons in the relationship.
