| FREEBIE Definition: (informal) Something that is given to somebody without payment, usually by a company. ______________________________________________________________________ * All ten elements would be in. 1. Not requested or demanded by recipient. 2. Purposeful and necessary for the company to give thing away. 3. No indignity is suffered by recipient, from the company (= staff of issuing authority). 4. No time is wasted on a 'queue' before collection. 5. Thing is not ordinarily dangerous or unsafe to have, use, apply, etc. That is, thing is usable and/or not passed its use-by date. 6. (Reserved.) (Nothing requiring substantial effort or energy or expenditure of resources, is required to be done or made, by the recipient before, during or after collection of thing.) 7. Thing is relevant at the time it is given. And, or given timely to help serve purpose(s) intended. 8. No document is signed by recipient for collected item. And no records are made of the gesture, that may be used in the future for a promotion, advertisement, etc. by the company. 9. Company is not indebted in any way to recipient. 10.
