| FORTITUDE (1) Definition: (formal) Courage shown by somebody who is suffering great pain or facing great difficulties. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. 1. Not planned or even possible to be rehearsed or prepared for, before it is shown or expressed. 2. Pain or suffering is not self-inflicted or self-imposed. That is, courage has a genuine footing. 3. Pain suffered or the difficulty that is borne is enormous, in the opinion of the afflicted or sufferer. 4. No hope or possibility of recouping loss suffered, in the distant or immediate future. _______________ UNCOMMON ... . IT'S MORE THAN BRAVERY AND DETERMINATION, 5. Situation will last for a period that is thought unbearable; an extremely 'long' duration. (Help!) 6. No complaints, lamentation or outwardly, outlandish behaviour such as a tantrum, is exhibited.
