| FORTHRIGHTNESS Definition: The quality of being forthright (= direct and honest in manner and speech). ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and considered a necessity for who is forthright; no irresponsibility (see perfect INTEGRITY). 2. Quality will be displayed or shown promptly or timely; no hesitation (see perfect FIG LEAF (2)). 3. Manner (= acts, actions, etc.) and speech (talk, remarks, etc.) will be clear, complete and full; no uncertainty or confusion (see perfect INDIRECTNESS (2)). 4. Admits all truths and errors, denies all falsehood and deflects any unmerited praise or reflected glory; no delusion or shame or pessimism (see perfect FRANKNESS). 5. Bears or will be ready to bear all difficulties or negative consequences with equanimity; no worry or bother (see perfect OPENNESS (1)). 6. Quality serves purpose(s) or achieves objective(s), even if an unplanned loss is suffered as a direct result of directness and honesty; no 'loss' ! (to emphasize) (see perfect OUTSPOKENNESS). 7. Quality will be natural and genuine: permanent, constant, whatever the circumstance or situation. That is, not done with the intention to earn a praise or prove a thing; no hiding place. In other words, should be characteristic, and, also accompanied with some wisdom (see perfect FREUDIAN SLIP). 8. Cannot be regretted. There will, therefore, be no reversal or recant, renunciation of manner (behaviour) or talk (comment); no oversight (see perfect FOOLHARDINESS). 9. Who is being direct and honest will have a capability or an ability, and some willingness-cum-readiness, to defend, explain, protect, justify, etc. manner and speech, if required; no politicking (see perfect INCORRUPTIBILITY (1)). ___________________________ ...
