| FOREST (1) Definition: A large area of land that is thickly covered with trees. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Purposeful (to emphasize). 2. Considered necessary to leave area with trees. That is, important to leave trees standing on the land. 3. Area is marked and indicated on maps, etc. as appropriate. 4. Area is ordinarily safe to go into. That is, the animals in place will not be of the life-threatening kinds. 5. Protected from illegal loggers, nature-hating rangers, etc. 6. (Reserved.) (Area is strictly not a Reserve.) 7. Trees, plants, etc. in the area have some economic benefits and contribute to the balance of/in the ecosystem. 8. Area is fairly easily accessible and can be explored or exploited, or even avoided, as necessary (connect to #3, #4 & #6). 9.
