FORCED LABOUR (1)

Definition: (British English) Hard physical work that somebody, often a prisoner or slave, is forced to do.

1. Purposeful - the work.

2. Necessary - the use of force.

3. Person or worker offers some resistance or makes a protest before the commencement of work (to emphasize, see definition).

4. Work is done timely and finished promptly.

5. Work is done correctly. That is, task is performed properly.

6. Use of force does not include a physical attack on worker. That is, prisoner or slave is not whipped, boxed or caned to submission.

7. Worker will not be paid additionally or specially for work. That is, no compensation or extra payment for indignity suffered.

8. No unplanned loss is suffered and no health challenge is faced, by prisoner or slave, as a direct fallout of particular work.

9. Prisoner is truly guilty of offence for which he or she is imprisoned, and sentence specifically mentions hard labour. Or slave is not appealing or contesting 'imprisonment' or .. .)
