| FORBEARANCE Definition: (formal) The quality of being patient and sympathetic towards other people, especially when they have done something wrong: command of temper: clemency. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Wrongdoing was not deliberate. And/or the wrong has not been pardoned, forgiven and forgotten. 2. Who shows quality did not inadvertently contribute to, or encourage, the wrong being done. 3. There will be a certainty that wrong cannot be corrected or atoned for. And/or that loss or losses arising therefrom cannot be recouped. 4. Help, advice, suggested solution, support or assistance, etc. as necessary, will be offered by who has quality. That is, care and concern will be genuine and sustainable, even if the efforts of a helping hand is rebuffed. 5. No unplanned loss will be suffered by who is patient and sympathetic towards others, especially if beneficiaries are persons thought formerly to be 'foes'. 6. Extent of the quality displayed will not be misconstrued or misunderstood as condoning or tolerating the (a) wrongdoing. 7. Patience and sympathy remains for as long as situation deserving understanding (= pity and mercy) exists, even if period or length of time seems like an 'eternity'. 8. Quality is 'non-transferable'. That is, pain and/or blame will not be experienced or shared by who is being kind and considerate. 9.
