| FLYABILITY Definition: (of an aircraft in flight) (informal) The state or quality of being able to continue the act of flying and ending it at the expected destination at the period planned on taking off. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary, whatever the mission. 2. Airworthiness will be assured before departure. 3. Enough aviation fuel would be available for journey. 4. The pilot and co-pilot and cabin crew are all OK. 5. The passenger(s), if any, are certified as 'true'. 6. Route or flight path will be as approved for craft. 7. Contact(s) with traffic control(s) is/are regular. 8. Area of least resistance will be taken, especially in a war situation or during an emergency. That is, air turbulence will be nonexistent, no-fly zone avoided, etc., etc. 9. Condition serves purpose(s).
