FLUNKEY (1)

Definition: (disapproving) A person who tries to please somebody who is important and powerful by doing small jobs for them.

1. Person has a purpose and considers it necessary (see definition).

2. Does not get asked before doing job. (And does not refuse a plea by important and powerful person to do some other job - small or big!)

3. Expects no immediate material benefit or reward for deed. And will demand no payment - of any kind - afterwards, for services rendered.

4. Does work loyally, correctly, honestly, thoroughly and promptly.

5. Will not disturb the VIP in any way. And says not a word, doing job, unless he or she needs to reply a question or provide an answer to an enquiry made by the 'IAPP'.

6. Small job is not an immorality or illegality or an unethical act.

7. 'IAPP' is pleased. That is, act achieves objective, whether the temporary 'servant' is acknowledged or commended or not.

8. Will grant a request, or obey a demand, by the important and powerful person to stop what he or she is doing, whatever the stage that work is in, whenever 'ordered'.
