| FLATNESS (10) Definition: The state or quality in which music is played at below the correct pitch (= how high or low a note sounds). ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Purposeless (to emphasize). 2. Unplanned for to play music at particular level. 3. Player is believed or assumed competent (connect to #4). 4. Situation is not deliberate. That is, nothing is to be gained from incorrectness. 5. Musical instrument is not faulty or defective. 6. Duration of wrong play is short. 7. The point, during play, in which error or mistakle place takes place, is not a major one. That is, wrong pitch will not affect the overall quality - of ryhthm or beat - of music. 8. Poorness of note does not escape the notice of player and/or listeners (connect to #9). 9.
