Definition: If you describe someone as a fixture in a particular place or occasion, you mean that they always seem to be there.

1. Person will always have a purpose and consider presence in place or occasion a necessity.

2. Presence will be of own freewill. That is, no compulsion or use of force will be employed to get person into a place or to an occasion.

3. Prominence or visibility will be predominant while person is available, whether accessible or inaccessible, in the place or at occasion attended.

4. Presence or aura will be felt for as long as situation - feeling or event - lasts or exists. (Connect to #5.)

5. Provisions will be made for person, by organizers or arrangers of event or place, even if only in anticipation of person's arrival.

6. The impact or influence, effect or reach, etc. of person will be considerable, whether he or she is absent or present, arriving or departing.

7. It will not be possible to eject or dismiss, remove or kill person when in place or while attending event (to emphasize).

8. Person will be 'missed', if absent. And he or she will, therefore, be asked about, when he/she doesn't show up at a location or an event.
