| FINANCIAL ADVISER Definition: Someone whose job is to advice people about financial products and services. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and considered necessary to have job and to seek person. 2. Charges that will be paid for advice will not 'bankrupt' client or clientele. 3. Appropriately 'qualified' by way of certification, cognate experience, employment status vis-a-vis position, etc. 4. Has considerable, solid investments in similar products and/or will gladly participate in the type of services that advice will be offered on, especially if available provision is to be recommended. 5. Up-to-date with developments, rates, policies, proposals, etc. in the economy, particularly in the financial sector, such that advice will be given timely, for same to be profitable to his or her clients. 6. Not 'unfit by circumstances'. That is, person is not indebted or seeking a bailout, or being subsidized, not a gambler or spendthrift. In other words, 'expert' can only 'give' (sermonize) what is possessed ('practiced'). 7. Advice will not be selfish. That is, no threat, blackmail, cajoling, etc. will make client to 'invest' in what adviser has a vested interest in - company, trust, charity, etc. And if the desirability of a second opinion is sought by who wants to know about financial products and services, this will not be discouraged by adviser. 8.
