| FINAL (1) Definition: The last of a series of games or competitions in which the winner is decided. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eleven elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary (see perfect PLACING). 2. Participants went through qualifying series. That is, the line-ups were made of deserving players/teams (see perfect DISQUALIFICATION). 3. Qualifiers earned position. That is, no participant gets to this last stage through a bye, etc. (see perfect ELIGIBILITY). 4. Well-organized. That is, rules applicable, if different from the rules applied during qualifying series, are made known to the participants (see perfect ORGANIZATION (2)). 5. Functional equipment, comfortable venue, conducive environment, etc. are used (see perfect STARTING PISTOL). 6. Official(s) is/are excellent; true, unbiased and efficient! (See perfect FAIRNESS (1).) 7. Performance of players, athletes, etc. are top-grade: either record-equalling or record-setting (see perfect FALSE START). 8. Spectators and fans are well-behaved (see perfect PITCH INVASION). 9. A decision - win or lose, not a draw or a no-contest, is reached on the field of play, not in a 'boardroom'! And play is not a one-sided performance. (See perfect VICTORY.) 10. No unplanned loss, especially for the active participants, is suffered as an outcome of activities (see perfect FAIR PLAY). 11.
