| FILTHY RICH Definitions: i. So rich that you think the person is too rich and you find it offensive. ii. (informal) (disapproving) If you say that someone is filthy rich, you disapprove of them because they have a lot of money. ______________________________________________________________________ * (offensive) utterance that conveys disapproval will be defensible, only if all eleven elements are in. 1. Belief held is that the lucre is filthy ! 2. There is a thought that tax due is not being paid. 3. Who 'condemns' has not benefitted (much) from the moneybag ! 4. Suspicion is that this rich guy is trying to be richer. 5. Opinion held is that rich isn't supporting society or good causes ! 6. No fuss is made when a part of riches is lost, stolen, etc. 7. There is a certainty that the super wealthy doesn't spend time haggling ! 8. Conclusion is the the last will and testament of who has loads of cash won't portray the best example of good nature or reasonableness. 9. There is a certainty that so-called super rich is not indebted to a person or financial institution or has property used as collateral. 10. Opinion held or point of view is that 'millionaire' is unwilling to give tips or share secret of success with the poor and wretched. 11. Finally, who disapproves thinks he or she would have been a better manager of the resources possessed by the stinkingly rich, suggesting 'gazillionaire' does not 'know' what to do with money (in the opinion of the 'poor' poor!). ________________________________ But, is it jealousy or insecurity ? So, what truly is in it for her/him ? OK. Am I being greedy or covetous ? Ha!
