| FIGHTING (7) Definition: The act of taking part in a boxing match. ______________________________________________________________________ * All twelve elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary, especially for the participants. 2. Match is approved and authorized, be it an amateur or professional fight. 3. The processes prior 'war' - negotiation, contract signing, promotion or press conference, certification, weigh-in, etc. - are completed and/or concluded. 4. Rules applicable are made known to the pugilists before the ring of the 'first bell'. 5. Officials and equipment used are efficient and effective. 6. Boxer(s) keep to the 'fight plan', battle strategy or 'ring map'. And athletes and supporters keep within the rules of the game! 7. Trainer(s) and the corner(s) are available and ready, with the 'white towel', just in case of an emergency or danger. 8. No mistaken blow lands on the referee inside the boxing 'ring'. 9. A decision - win or lose or draw or no-contest! - is reached at the end of bout. 10. Exchange of blows serves purpose(s): pride, money, honour, prize. 11. A participant does not die from strenuous activity, either from a knockout or as a result of exhaustion after fight. 12.
