| FIAT MONEY Definition: Paper money not based upon specie, and made legal tender by law or fiat. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eleven elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and considered a necessity by the issuer. 2. Denomination will be of only a single class or amount. 3. Jurisdiction of currency will be one locality or nation. 4. Government (= an issuer) will be de jure and de facto. 5. The quantity printed will be enough to meet the objective. 6. Value is higher than coin's but less than established paper money. 7. Unattractive to forgers (to emphasize, connect to #5). 8. Never traded in a currency market; not of of exchangeable quality. 9. Usable only as a means of exchange, not of liquidity. 10.
