| FAVOURITISM Definition: (British English) (disapproving) The act of unfairly treating one person better than others because you like them better. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary, for you, to be unfair. 2. Favoured person has the capacity, ability, etc. to cope with excess care, extra love, additional support, etc. 3. Act is not strictly against a law, rule or regulation. 4. There is an expectation of a gain, benefit, etc., from the act, for you (= the person treating some other(s) unfairly). 5. No sanction, regret, unplanned loss, etc. is suffered by the person who is being unfair to some other(s), whether or not a protest, an appeal, etc. is lodged by victim(s) or sufferer(s). 6. A loss is suffered or a disadvantage is conferred on the party that is unfairly treated. 7. Preferential treatment is sustained for period planned. 8.
