FAULT (2)

Definition: A bad or weak aspect of somebody's character.

1. Aspect that is bad is specific and identifiable.

2. Weak aspect is measurable and/or assessable.

3. Known by person concerned. Or pointed out to person and accepted by him/her. That is, badness cannot be denied by the person.

4. Person is making serious efforts to correct weakness.

5. Bad aspect is not in-born. That is, fault was developed over time.

6. Causes a loss, especially for the person with weakness, and for others that may come in contact with him or her.

7. Weakness is restricted to the person concerned; not transferable, whether regretted or not.

8. Bad or weak aspect does not get worse with time (= age!). That is, it can be, hopefully, worked on before passing on!
