| FAMILY TREE Definition: A diagram that shows the relationship between members of a family over a long period of time. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary, even if thought otherwise by some. 2. Parentage of every name listed in diagram is certain as true, without an unresolved controversy about paternity (connect to #3). 3. All the children had by the parent(s), especially those had out of wedlock are listed. That is, diagram must be 'complete', total. 4. Origin must be as far as the memory can recall or as much as the records can bear proof of/to. (Or ancestry, predecessors, progenitors, etc. goes as far back as Adam and Eve, for those who do not subscribe to the theory of the big bang.) 5. Connections and links - relationship of persons - are correctly or properly stated. 6. Details listed - name(s), date(s) of birth, date(s) of death, etc. - are relevant and accurate. 7. Current and regularly updated, with the latest addition(s) to any of the 'branches' (= families) included. 8.
