Family day out
FAMILY DAY OUT

Definition: (informal) An outing by the members of a nuclear family on a day specially earmarked for the purpose.

1. Purposeful (to emphasize). (See perfect TOGETHERNESS.)

2. Considered necessary to observe event. [See perfect BONDING (1).]

3. Specific and marked in a calendar. That is, day is known ahead and is generally looked forward to. [See perfect EXPECTATION (2).]

4. A conscious effort will be made, at the start of day to suspend a disagreement, forget a malice, etc., if any (See perfect FORGIVENESS.)

5. Destination is jointly or collectively agreed on, especially between the parents. (See perfect DECISION-MAKING.)

6. The kid/kids get to play with both parents together, on this occasion. (See perfect RING-A-RING O' ROSES.)

7. Child or children who has/have not passed their teenage years get deserved treats. (See perfect ICE CREAM.)

8. Both parents exchange presents, whatever their value or worth, during the outing. [See perfect GIFT (1).]

9. Outing goes as programmed or arranged, in all respects - venue, journey, meals, etc., etc. [See perfect PLAN (1).]

10. Lasts for a reasonable period of time, especially in the opinion of kid/children. (See perfect DURATION.)

11. Nothing illegal, immoral, unethical, etc. is done by any member of the family during (and after) outing! (See perfect GOOD NAME.)

12. Activity achieves objective(s), as exactly hoped for (connect to #1 & #2). [See perfect PLEASURE (2).]

13. Return trip and arrival back home is safe, with nothing discovered stolen or destroyed at home, while away. (See perfect GODSPEED.)

14. Activities scheduled for the day after will still be able to be performed by the family members. [See perfect BURNOUT (1).]
