| APPEASEMENT (1) Definition: The act of making somebody calmer or less angry by giving them what they want. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary, especially for the appeaser. 2. What is wanted is not an unlawful thing, even if item, favour, etc. is immoral and person is considered as unworthy or undeserving. 3. Want is specific and identifiable, measurable and/or assessable. 4. There will be a belief or an assurance that what will be given will satisfy desire (= want) fully and permanently. 5. Thing given and received will not bring a loss or cause a regret to who gives and for the person receiving. 6. Thing wanted will be given on time, before anger or annoyance causes a serious damage, loss, embarrassment, etc., etc. 7. (Reserved.) (What is wanted is not a right or an entitlement that was and is still being denied to the person making demand.) 8. Other option(s) - pleading, tease, cajoling, coaxing, etc. - to make person calmer and less angry have been tried and been unsuccessful (to emphasize). 9.
