| FADDINESS Definition: (British English, informal, disapproving) Having a quality of liking some things and not others, especially food, in a way that other people think is unreasonable. ______________________________________________________________________ * All five elements would be in. 1. The 'discrimination' cannot be explained or justified. That is, the issue of affordability, faith or religion, medical or health consideration, etc. won't be an excuse or a reason for a decision. RISK-FREE. 2. Preparation or production of dish, presentation or service of meal, food value or nutritional need, etc. especially of the things not liked, will not be a bone of contention during period. FOOLPROOF. 3. There will be an 'accounting for taste' in the situation. That is, the senses of taste, smell and sight, of who likes some things and not others, are all in excellent order at all times. NO UNDERCURRENT. 4. Nothing will be particularly gained by what is 'spectacularly' liked (the 'favourites'); nothing will be specifically lost by the 'contemptible' dislike of the others (the 'rejects'). NO CONCESSION. 5. A condition cannot be set, for the things not earlier liked to be liked later. And/or a situation cannot arise for the things previously liked to end up being not liked.
