FACE VALUE (2)

Definition: (phrasal) If you take something at face value, you accept it and believe it without thinking about it very much, even though it might be untrue.
______________________________________________________________________

* All six elements would be in.

1. You have a purpose and consider it necessary to accept thing 'as is', even as expression of trust in, or confirmation of, its veracity will not be stated.

2. No argument, suggestion, proposal, proposition, disclosure, etc. will be heard or had to confirm or exacerbate a fear, doubt, if any.

3. No question or query will be raised by you before acceptance.

4. There will be no request or demand for an assurance, insurance, guarantee, warranty, etc. against any future outcome that might arise from decision not to properly think thing through.

5. The time and space needed to ruminate over thing was available.

6. 'Gamble' will turn out safe and right. But, where acceptance turns out in a disadvantage, an inconvenience, etc. the fallout (= shame or embarrassment, loss or failure, etc.) will not be too devastating.
