Expiation
EXPIATION

Definition: The act of accepting punishment for something you have done wrong in order to show that you are sorry.
______________________________________________________________________

* All nine elements should be in.

1. Purposeful and necessary in your opinion to accept punishment.

2. Wrongdoing was at no time denied by you or denied on your behalf.

3. No attempt was made by you, or anyone else, to justify or explain reason or basis for wrong act/action.

4. You have no complain about the nature and/or magnitude of the punishment, ... once it is not a request to commit an illegality.

5. The punishment was not the one imposed on you by yourself!

6. Punishment is served fully (to emphasize).

7. You do not commit offense or repeat a similar wrong afterwards.

8. No innocent got punished for the same offense. (Or, where somebody else got punished in error, a reparation, compensation, apology, etc., as applicable, is paid or offered to the innocent.)

9. You give complete and true details - not an 'excuse' or justification - about how offense or 'crime' was committed.
