| EXONERATION Definition: The act or process of stating officially that somebody is not responsible for something that they have been blamed for. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary to 'clear' person. 2. Statement is clear and unmistakable. 3. Statement is made or issued timely to get the effect desired. 4. Statement is given adequate publicity. That is, the widest possible coverage is given to statement clearing the person that was previously blamed. 5. New person(s) responsible for the thing for which somebody else was blamed has/have been found out. (To emphasize, connect to #6.) 6. Statement is accepted or believed, that is, not seen as a cover-up. 7. Achieves goals(s).
