| EXIT STRATEGY (1) Definition: (in politics or business) A way of ending your involvement in a situation such as a military operation or a business arrangement. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary, whatever the strategy. 2. Thought of, planned or designed, before the start of an endeavour. That is, terms (conditions) and stage (timing) of exit will be projected ahead of the act or event occurring. 3. Decision to commence an ending of participation will be taken freely and independently, based on the information possessed or on an activity happening, as earlier envisaged (connect to #2). 4. The condition(s) under which it will be applied will be specific and identifiable. That is, an earliest time, actionable event, etc. will be present to be the determinant(s) of departure or abandonment. 5. Serious losses, shame, disadvantage, etc., in the future, will be avoided by the action of withdrawal or of pulling out. And no illegality will be committed by the act or action. 6. Activated on the certainty that a gain or benefit will arise from decision to exit situation (connect to #5). That is, continuation on same path will be sure to not end in progress, advancement, etc. 7. A regret will not be expressed in the end. That is, there will be no wish that involvement was continued further after withdrawing from operation or arrangement.
