Exit poll
EXIT POLL

Definition/description: In an exit poll immediately after an election, people are asked how they voted, in order to predict the result of the election.

1. Purposeful and necessary, especially for the pollsters.

2. Commences at the appropriate time and continues for right duration.

3. Respondents are honest in their responses or answers, with or without a proof being demanded by questioner(s).

4. Areas covered in ward, precinct, etc. are wide, with the presence of the parties and/or candidates standing in the particular election.

5. The activities involved - recording, compilation, tabulation, assessment, etc. - are conducted without errors.

6. Ballot boxes, polling materials, etc. will not be tampered with while votes are being counted. (To emphasize.) That is, there will be no rigging during the election.

7. Announcement of prediction (= results) would be timely, but/and would not be able to have an effect or impact on the other voters, if any, yet to cast their ballots (where applicable). (Connect to #2.)

8. Activity serves purpose(s), in addition to being used to claim a victory and to prepare winner(s)-to-be, for acceptance (= victory) speeches and loser(s)-in-waiting, for concession (= surrender) remarks.
