EXCEPTION (1)

Definition: A person or thing that is not included in a general statement.

* All five elements should be in.


1. Person or thing is specific and identifiable.

2. Who or what is mentioned as not included is assessable and/or measurable.

3. Conclusion on which exclusion is based is proven. That is, judgment is fair, impartial, unbiased and blameless.

4. Justifiable and defensible. That is, evidence can be provided, if necessary, to support assertion. (Connect to #3.)

5. Exclusion of person or thing does not make statement untrue or change its general meaning.
