| EXAMINER (1) Definition: A person who writes the questions for, or marks/grades, a test of knowledge or ability. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary to have person perform role(s). 2. Adequately educated and knowledgeable: qualified (connect to #3). 3. Works, that is, sets questions and grades effort, within a syllabus or curriculum, and/or with a marking scheme/script. 4. In the right frame of mind at the time of writing questions or grading work. That is, shows no incompetence, favouritism, prejudice, bias, etc. in carrying out responsibilities. 5. Makes no mistake(s) in writing/setting questions, additions, calculations, compiling the scores or marks, etc. 6. Completes work, especially the marking, in good time. 7. Work, especially marking/grading will not need to be redone by another assessor - internal or external - unless the rule specifically demands this.
