| EVANGELIST (1) Definition: A person who tries to persuade people to become Christians, especially by travelling around the country holding religious meetings or speaking on radio or television. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Person has a purpose and believes it necessary to win souls. 2. Personal conduct is encouraging. That is, person's behaviour and attitudes are Christ-like. 3. Message or preaching is not threatening. That is, no mention of hell or hellfire, as an inevitable end, to who is being persuaded to become a Christian. 4. Never gives a deadline for conversion, response, etc. ______________________________ NOT AN ANGEL OR AN APOSTLE ... (See perfect MUSLIM.) [ARE YOU TRULY IN CHRIST JESUS?] 5. Belongs to a denomination, strictly speaking. 6. Never asks for tithes, collection, donation, etc. 7. Gets a convert or some converts. That is, person achieves goal(s) of travels. In other words, message gets across to listeners, readers, viewers, etc. 8.
