Definition: A system of moral principles or rules of behaviour.

1. Purposeful and necessary to have system.

2. Rules are specific and identifiable.

3. Set in concrete terms, even if not specifically in the statutes. That is, principles and rules are written clearly, whether backed or not by the law.

4. Not imposed on observer or adopted against a personal conviction or belief. That is, voluntarily accepted to be obeyed by the persons concerned.

5. Publicized adequately and appropriately. That is, the people in discipline, areas of interest, etc. are fully aware of the existence of rules.

6. Observed in full compliance by all concerned. That is, principles or rules serves purpose(s), exactly as hoped for.

7. Has a provision for sanctions for non-observance.

8. System is beyond reproach. That is, principles or rules cannot be deemed as illegal, immoral or illicit.

9. Cannot be successfully challenged in a court of law, etc.
