| ERUDITION Definition: (formal) Great academic knowledge: state of being learned: knowledge gained by study: learning, especially in literature. ______________________________________________________________________ * All twelve elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and considered necessary to be erudite. 2. Acquired through learning (= studying, research, observation, experimentation, etc.), not by plagiarism, cramming, copying, etc. 3. Knowledge is true, factual or correct; error-free. 4. Recognized and certificated. That is, erudite person is acknowledged as a repository/fountain of great knowledge. 5. Possessed and sustained or sustainable for an appropriate period of time or for all-time. That is, person has a power of recall or sharp memory to remember necessary details, if required. 6. What is known is transferable, accessible and teachable. And 'guru' can exchange or share ideas, collaborate, and work jointly with others. 7. Information, data, etc. that is acknowledged as profound opens or can open new vistas or frontiers of knowledge for the inquisitive learner, serious researcher, deep thinker, etc. 8. Knowledge possessed can be backed, proved or supported, etc. with practice/practicals, evidence or fact, etc. if necessary or required. 9. Knowledge is whole or complete - not some 'half-baked' facts, incomplete information or details in/of a 'work-in-progress'. 10. Constantly reviewed and updated. 11.
