Epilogue
EPILOGUE

Definition: A speech, etc. at the end of a play, book, or film/movie that comments on or acts as a conclusion to what has happened.

* All eight elements should be in.


1. Purposeful and considered necessary to make or write speech.

2. Delivered appropriately. That is, point, place or time of speech is right (see definition, to emphasize).

3. Not an 'epistle', that is, takes a short period of time to be delivered. Or written in relatively few words and therefore occupies only a little space.

4. Does not disclose or reveal something hitherto not seen, read, heard, etc., during the event, show, etc. And does not confuse what was earlier thought understood.

5. Concise, not strictly a summary or a 'regurgitation'. (Connect to #3.)

6. Brings about a new or different appreciation of the book, etc. Or introduces a fresh perspective to the understanding of play, etc.

7. Book, play, film/movie, etc. on which comments is based has no further part to be shown, published or broadcast later.

8. Comments or conclusion in speech, etc. serves purpose(s).
