| ENTERPRISE ZONE Definitions: i. An area where the government encourages people to invest in new businesses, for example by offering lower taxes. ii. An area, usually a depressed or inner-city area, where government offers incentives in order to attract new businesses. ______________________________________________________________________ * All ten elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary to have place specially established and/or demarcated. (See perfect DEVELOPMENT (1).) 2. Area has a legal backing. That is, appropriate statutes or laws will be in place. (See perfect GOVERNMENT (1).) 3. Administration or organization of area will be efficient and effective. That is, place will be governed by rules. In other words, law and order will reign therein. (See perfect LAWFULNESS.) 4. Physical security, safety, protection, etc. in area, will be guaranteed for as long as necessary. (See perfect PROHIBITION (3).) 5. Incentives will be truly beneficial, attractive and so considered as rewarding by businesses to be attracted. (See perfect TAX HAVEN.) 6. Duration that offered incentives will be accessible will be appropriate for new businesses. (See perfect PROFITABILITY.) 7. The public or the intended customers, clients, patrons, etc. will not consider incentives as immoral. (See perfect E-BUSINESS (1).) 8. The labour or workforce, raw materials or inputs that will be available in area will be the best possible. (See perfect MAN-HOUR.) 9. New businesses on getting to area will be given all the support necessary, especially by the locals. (See perfect INDUSTRIALIZATION.) 10.
