| ENGRAVING (2) Definition: The art or process of cutting designs on wood, stone, metal, etc. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Purposeful (to emphasize). 2. Considered a necessity to cut design on particular material. 3. Cut designs are specific and identifable: distinct. 4. No part of raw material (= wood, stone, etc.) is unnecessarily wasted in the process. 5. No unplanned loss, damage, destruction, etc. occurs as a direct outcome of art or process. 6. Design is not painted, decorated or embellished in any other or additional way (to emphasize). 7. Art or process is completed. That is, there is a final product after end of cutting activity. 8.
