Enfranchisement
ENFRANCHISEMENT

Definition: (formal) The act of giving somebody the right to vote in an election: liberation: admission to civil or political privileges.

1. Purposeful (to emphasize).

2. Considered a necessity by law or rule to give right.

3. Voter's card is declared valid and accepted at the polling booth.

4. Name of person is not missing from the electoral roll!

5. Prospective voter is allowed to vote freely, according to his or her conscience: no use of a 'proxy', no intimidation, thuggery, etc.

6. Vote counts. That is, ballot is not disqualified during the counting of the cast votes.

7. Outcome of voting (= the result) is upheld by the electoral authority. That is, result is not annulled afterwards for reasons of irregularity, national security, etc., etc.

8. Right possessed serves purpose(s), whether voter's candidate wins or loses. (Connect to #6 & #7).
