| ENDANGERED SPECIES (1) Definition: Mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians that are in danger of extinction, usually because of environmental changes and human activity. Humans have exploited land; hunted, trapped or killed for safety, food and research; and polluted the atmosphere for their own needs, thus depriving animals of their habitats and conditions necessary for survival. Endangered species include the peregrine falcon, the bald eagle, some whales, the egret, the bird of paradise, the Atlantic salmon and sturgeon and the Orangutan, among many others ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. 1.
