Definitions:

i. Something that is placed in an envelope with a letter.

ii. Something enclosed in a letter or parcel.

1. Purposeful and necessary to enclose particular thing.

2. Object is the right one and is approved, where necessary, to be enclosed with letter.

3. Nature of thing will not result in a defacement. That is, letter does not become difficult to read as a result of the item accompanying it in envelope.

4. Does not disfigure or damage envelope or make a writing or an address on it ineligible.

5. Exists or is present in state in which it is/was enclosed all through the period, until envelope is/was delivered and/or opened.

6. Causes no unplanned loss for the recipient of letter, when envelope is received or opened, unless ... (connect to #5, to emphasize).
