| EMPLOYMENT (2) Definition: The situation in which people have work. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary. 2. Work is the right one for everyone employed. That is, the relevant and required sectors are the ones in which labour is engaged. 3. There is maximum productivity in the situation. That is, an economy grows as a direct outcome of people being employed. In other words, situation achieves objective(s). 4. The people employed are the qualified ones. 5. Working relationships are stable. That is, industrial peace and harmony exists in the situation. In other words, the employees are happily engaged - no crippling strikes, industrial walkouts, etc. 6. Possibilities for workers to move from one sector to another exists in the situation. 7. Work placements are not in the black economy or in illegal jobs. That is, taxes, as appropriate, that ought to be paid, are paid by all those in employment. (Connect to #2 & #8.) 8. The positive ripple effects of situation are felt. That is, a reduction in crime, an inflow of investment, improvement in the general well-being of the people, etc. are noticed in the region or country. 9.
