| ELITISM (1) Definition: (often disapproving) A way of organizing a system, society, etc. so that only a few people (= an elite) have power or influence. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and considered a necessity by the organizers. 2. The laws, rules and regulations in existence in system, etc. are always 'skewed' in favour of selected few. 3. Progress, even if only of a limited kind, is still obtained or obtainable, for the majority, in the situation. That is, organization works, succeeds (connect to #4 & #7). 4. The underlying basis - greed, selfishness, etc. - is/are never disclosed, by organizers, to the general public (to emphasize). 5. Means (= ways) serves purpose(s), whatever this/these is/are. 6. Situation lasts for duration planned for, by the organizers. 7.
