| ELIMINATOR Definition: (British) In sport, an eliminator is a game which decides which team or player is to go through to the next stage of a particular competition. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary to do a 'sift' of the boys from the men. 2. Line-up, at earlier stages, for a team, will not include the stars. 3. Player or participants will put in his/her/their maximum efforts. 4. The excitement will build up as the stages go by. (To emphasize.) 5. Administration/organization and officiating/placing will be OK. 6. Every game or each stage will be completed; no 'DNF' or 'DQF'. 7. Outcome of games will ordinarily be predictable; no giant-killing. 8. Achieves goal(s).
