| ELDER (1) Definition: (usually - elders) People of greater age, experience and authority. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Purposeful - the recognition of another being of greater age, etc. 2. (Reserved.) (The assumed elders are truthful in the declared ages, qualifications presented, official curriculum vitae or resumes, etc.) 3. Conduct and behaviour earns people due respect, from especially the younger members of the public. That is, oldie does not misuse the advantage conferred by greater experience, etc. 4. Believed wiser and therefore expected to be more reasonable than person(s) seeking his or her advice (connect to #9). _____________________ NOT DISRESPECTED ! 5. Does not argue or struggle for seniority with another, even if position is not conceded. (To emphasize.) 6. Never on the wrong side of the law. Age is 'high up' there - minimum seven (7) years older, experience is broad - includes 'ups and downs', and authority possessed is legal and approved - not unauthorized or usurped. 8. Applies or uses 'the years', 'knowledge' and 'power' for the betterment of all - the good of family/colleagues, community, society and the world. 9.
