| ACADEMIC Definition: A person who teaches and/or does research at a university or college. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Has a subject or an area of specialization. (To emphasize, connect to #2.) (See perfect Ph.D.) 4. Teaching will be thorough, including sessions on practicals, etc. And research will be intensive with the goal being to get findings published in local, in-house publications or international/foreign journals. (See perfect INTELLIGENCE (1).) 5. Will be cerebral or robustly sound in his or her approach to the topics and ideas being treated or handled. (See perfect UNIVERSITY (2).) 6. Never involved in plagiarism or any kind of academic fraud or unethical practices in the course of performing role(s). (See perfect ERUDITION.) 7. Never goes on an industrial action during an academic year. That is, will do nothing to disrupt a university or college calender. (See perfect OUT.) 8. Will be independently-minded and academically autonomous. That is, approach to instruction (teaching) and learning (research) will be appropriate for his or her discipline.
