| ANTICLERICAL Definition: Someone who opposes the social and political influence of the clergy or of the Church. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. 1. Not a practitioner of a faith other than Christianity. And neither a new convert nor an atheist (to emphasize). 2. Sticks with a particular set of clergy and consistently worships, wherever, only with a specific denomination. 3. Does not harass 'activist' clergy or physically attempt to prevent a Church's social or political activity. 4. Won't vote for or campaign against a candidate or party in an election on account of the disliked influence. 5. Does not participate in evangelism, crusades, etc. or support a Church activity that promotes a social or political cause. 6. Won't go the extra length to financially assist the clergy or in contributing to the finances of the Church; offering will be least. 7. Can rationalize opposition with appropriate biblical passages or stories. That is, will have a justification for actions. 8.
