| EGO TRIP Definition: (usually disapproving) An activity that somebody does because it makes them feel good and important. ______________________________________________________________________ * All twelve elements would be in. 1. Purposeful (to emphasize). 2. Considered necessary to massage ego. 3. Activity is not illegal. And not unapproved or unauthorized. That is, no sanction will arise from what is engaged in to feel better. 4. Applauded and treated with due reverence, by others, while involved in activity - not booed, heckled, etc. 5. No unplanned loss is suffered during the period of being engaged in the activity. And a dare or an unreasonable challenge is not attempted in the state. 6. Person knows that he or she is unimportant, even if a good feeling is achieved! (To emphasize, connect to #5 & #12.) 7. Feeling last only throughout the 'journey', ... until 'tripper' is brought back to reality. 8. 'Trip' last for distance desired - minutes, hours, days, etc. 9. Cost of 'travel' is not excessive. That is, activity does not deplete all the energies, resources, time, etc. of the 'traveller'. 10. Never accompanied on the trip (Or passenger, if any, knows that person is in a 'dreamland'.) 11. Activity is done well or performed as exactly wanted, whether it is concluded or at whatever stage or level it is terminated or abandoned. 12.
