| ECONOMIC MIGRANT Definition: A person who moves from their own country to a new country in order to find work or have a better standard of living. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary for who moves out (= migrant). 2. Has employable skills or can acquire the right skills in new country. 3. Person is not in the new country illegally. 4. Gets a placement in a wage-paying employment. 5. Work secured does not break the country's laws. That is, legal migrant is not doing an illegal job. And does not also break the laws of host country. 6. Remembers the country of origin and relations, if any, left behind. 7. Person achieves objective(s). That is, work secured provides a better living standard. 8. Remains in employment for a desired length of time. 9.
